SUPPORT TEAM GUIDELINES

AIWAV runs on the power of its volunteers.

The Leadership Team is made up of Administrators and Advisers. These roles cover all the Functional activities of the organisation. Everything else is a team, a club or other grouping called a Support Team.  Some examples are Let's Cook! and Go Crab Go.

Our organisation relies on members bringing their ideas to meetings and sharing their enthusiasm for projects to give our existence life and purpose.

These guidelines help in the set up and management of Support Teams.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Leadership Team..

Support Teams are for members only.

Bi-monthly Events are only open to non-members if publicised as such.

Please use AIWAV ‘tools’ to facilitate the activities of the team:

  • store your files in the main AWAIV drive;

  • add details of your Support Team to the AIWAV website;

  • add meetings/events to AIWAV calendar so all members have access:

  • create a WhatsApp group within the AIWAV community to communicate with your Team and participants plus your Leadership Team delegate;

  • promote your activities on AIWAV social channels by providing the Comms Team with suitable material for Facebook, Instagram or the monthly newsletter;

  • please include americanwomenvenice at gmail.com in all emails.

The primary objective of a Support Team is to engage members in a common activity. If there isn't one already, you can create one:

  1. create a brief description of the Support Team including its aims and objectives, the frequency it will meet and any other relevant information;

  2. nominate group delegates to manage the Team and identify a Leadership Team member as a delegate;

  3. present the Team to the rest of the membership at a monthly Aperitivo and sign up your participants;

  4. report monthly to the Leadership Team.

If you think it's a good idea to create a specific Team email address please work with AIWAV so there is consistency in form and it is easy to hand over in the future.

If it seems like a good resource is missing, it might be something other teams can also use. Please work together with AIWAV to streamline the creation and use of additional AIWAV ‘tools”.
